Some of my favourite the Ottawa Valley and country wedding venues, every one a room I have actually played.
Evermore in Almonte
Evermore in Almonte has one of the nicer outdoor ceremony settings in the Valley. I carry the sound from the ceremony outside through to the reception so the day flows without a dead patch.
Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place
Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place is a stunner, with a big back patio that's perfect for cocktail hour before the night moves inside for dinner and the floor.
The Grand Hotel in Carleton Place
The Grand Hotel in Carleton Place doesn't have a separate ballroom, the floor goes in the main room, so I build the whole night around that one space.
Bean Town
Bean Town looks tight off Kingston Street, but you can drive right in for load-in, so setup is quick and easy.
Temple's Sugar Bush in Lanark
Temple's Sugar Bush in Lanark is a personal favourite, with S tier maple food. The floor is up top, load-in is up the stairs, and it runs hot in summer, so plan for it.
Bleeks and Bergamot in Ashton
Bleeks and Bergamot in Ashton is lush with flowers and greenery, and the sound holds up fine in it, no EQ battles. You get the garden look without losing the floor.
Strathmere
At Strathmere the ceremony's in the pavilion and the dancing's inside. I cover both so the move from vows to floor never drops.
Orchard View in Greely
Orchard View in Greely gives a few options, but the floor usually lives inside the event room, a clear home base for the night.
Oak and Pines
At Oak and Pines the floor sits centred, so the dancing has a clear middle to gather around. I place the booth to anchor that centre.
Saunders Farm in Munster
The barn at Saunders Farm in Munster has solid acoustics. The built-in sound is weak though, so I bring my own tops to make the floor actually hit.
