I have played weddings in Ottawa for about eight years. These are the rooms I have worked, and I rate what I see from the booth.
Five things get a score out of 5: food, staff, ease of setup, house speakers, and sound and acoustics. Ease of setup includes the space in front of the floor and the room to build one.
Food and staff matter most to couples. Setup and sound matter most to the night, so I rate them too.
These are my opinions from playing the room, not facts. I update them every January. Venues cannot pay to rank or to move up. A missing score means I have not rated that part yet.

The Ottawa Valley is where wedding venues turn into barns and estates, and I've DJed every one of the ten below, from Almonte (Evermore) to Lanark (Temple's Sugar Bush). Temple's is my favourite for food, with a maple menu I rate as S tier.
Bleeks and Bergamot is a country barn where the floor moves, and Oak and Pines has a hotel on site for overnight guests. I played Ridge Rock Brewing in Carp in 2026.

Evermore
Almonte
Evermore in Almonte is one of my favourite rooms, and it has one of the prettier outdoor ceremony spots in the Valley.
Best for: Couples who want an outdoor ceremony and a coordinator who runs the day.
Tracy is the day-of coordinator. She runs the day, and she's the GOAT.
It's the room I played most last summer. I was there three times in 2026, and I'd go back any weekend.
I cover the sound outside and at the reception. I run a small separate system for the ceremony and cocktail hour, so the floor setup is ready for the night.
Stonefields Estate

Stonefields is a beautiful estate with a big back patio.
Best for: Couples who want cocktails on a patio.
Dinner and dancing move inside to the barn.
Heads up: Stone rooms build mud in the low end once the doors close at night.
The Grand Hotel
Carleton Place
The Grand Hotel is a boutique hotel with good food and a luxe feel.
Best for: Couples who want good food and a hotel setting.
The first ten minutes of open dancing set the tone for the night.
Heads up: The hotel names The Ballroom, The Carleton Room and Smith & Barrel, so confirm which spaces your booking includes.
Bean Town Receptions

Bean Town Receptions is a hall in Prescott-Russell that does fireworks.
Best for: Couples who want fireworks.
I time the music to restart the dancing afterwards. The floor is in sight of every table, which helps.
The entrance on Kingston Street is narrow, but I can still drive the van in.
Temple's Sugar Bush
Lanark
Temple's Sugar Bush is in my top three.
Best for: Food, service and personal attention.
The maple menu is S tier, and the service is great. The dance floor is upstairs.
Heads up: It gets very hot in summer. On fall dates, ask the venue about frost timing.
Bleeks and Bergamot
Ashton
Bleeks and Bergamot is a country barn with lush flowers and greenery.
Best for: A barn with flowers.
Couples sometimes worry the greenery will soak up the sound. The room handles it fine, and the barn floor moves.
The sound is totally fine in there, and I don't need any special EQ.
Strathmere
North Gower
Strathmere has the vows in a pavilion and the dancing indoors.
Best for: An outdoor ceremony and an indoor party.
That's two different sound jobs, so I plan separate sound for each.
Orchard View
Greely
Orchard View has several spaces to choose from.
Best for: Couples who want choices.
The dancing usually stays inside the event room.
Heads up: The bar sits far from the floor, so I watch the bar line before big tracks.
Oak and Pines
Ottawa Valley
Oak and Pines is a nice barn with a hotel on site.
Best for: Couples with guests staying overnight.
There are plenty of rooms for overnight guests. The dance floor sits centred, and my booth anchors it. The windows help, because energy builds as the light fades.
