Cold spark machines produce almost no smoke and no real heat, so standard optical detectors ignore them. The only thing I always flag with the venue is a rate-of-rise heat sensor mounted directly above the dance floor, because that can be more sensitive.
Is there a minimum ceiling height for indoor cold sparklers?
